Spring 2026 highlights: Panther athletics and activities
Spring wrapped up another great season of highlights, successes and triumphs for Panther athletics and activities.
With six spring girls’ sports, seven spring boys’ sports and more than 50 student-based interest clubs and co-curricular activities at Spring Lake Park High School, our Panthers made us proud. Check out some highlights.
Athletic team and individual highlights
- Adapted Bowling:
- Payton Flaig - All-State
- SaVannah Hayden - State Participant
- Max Milsow - State Participant
- Cesar Vargas - State Participant
- Baseball:
- 3rd in NWSC Conference
- Boys Golf:
- Section Champions - State Bound
- 2nd in NWSC Conference
- Boys Volleyball:
- Gabe Molitor (senior) reached 100 career aces, 1000 career digs and 1500 Servers received
- To compete for the section championship
- Girls Golf:
- 3rd in Section
- Softball:
- Ariel Xiong (senior) reached more than 600 career strikeouts
- Track & Field:
- Boys 2nd in NWSC
- Boys 2nd in Section 5AAA
- 10 students to compete at the state meet
- Girls Flag Football:
- Participation Tripled
- Athena Award Winner - Brooke Goerish
- Male Athlete of the Year - Jamal Smith
- National Signing Day: 21 student-athletes signed their national letters of intent to continue their education and play their sport at the collegiate level
- Music Commitment Day: 20 students committed to pursuing musical endeavors at the collegiate level
- Northwest Suburban Conference All-Conference: 34 student-athletes were Northwest Suburban Conference All-Conference honorees
Clubs and Co-curricular team and individual highlights
- Math Team:
- State Champion - Sam Kretzschmar
- Speech:
- Took 1st place in the small teams division at the Cambridge-Isanti Meet
- Panthinators (Robotics):
- Competed in two regional events this season: 10,000 Lakes Regional and North Star Regional at the University of Minnesota.
- Ranked 8th out of 47 teams and became an alliance captain for playoffs. Took 5th place in the playoff matches.
- The media team created a Panthinator highlight reel of the team's time during regional events.
- Fishing Team:
- Vinny Santiago (junior) and Ryan Anderson (sophomore) kicked off their season competing in Oklahoma against many of the nation’s elite high school bass anglers
- Parker’s Helping Hands (a student-based club that provides development opportunities and community contribution):
- Played big baseball at Woodcrest Spanish Immersion
- Chalked at Woodcrest Spanish Immersion and Park Terrace Elementary
- Cleaned up and painted Able Park signs
